Collection: 400mm to 500mm Wide Wine Fridges

Not every gap is 30cm or 60cm. These wine fridges are roughly 40cm to 50cm wide, a size that suits an alcove, the space beside a sideboard, a utility room or a home bar where a slimline model holds too little and a full-width one won't fit. Capacities run from 12 to 41 bottles, with single and dual zone options and free UK mainland delivery.

What's in this range?

  • Around 400mm wide: the CASO Design WineExclusive 12, 24 Smart and 38 Smart, and the WineComfort 24, including dual zone models for reds and whites.
  • Around 430mm to 450mm wide: the Subcold Viva20, Viva24 and Viva28, and HOMCOM models holding 16 to 41 bottles, including a 32-bottle dual zone.
  • Around 490mm wide: the SWISSCAVE WLB-120DF, a 26-bottle dual zone model, and the 39-bottle Combisteel 7525.0025.
  • Premium compact: the 12-bottle Liebherr WKes 653 GrandCru at 425mm wide.

Freestanding or built-in?

Most fridges at this width are freestanding and need a few centimetres of clearance around them for ventilation, so measure the gap with that clearance included. Some CASO Design models are designed for undercounter fitting; check the fitting type and cut-out dimensions on each product page before ordering.

Other widths

For narrower gaps, see our 300mm wine fridges and 150mm wine fridges. For a standard kitchen cabinet opening, see our 600mm wine fridges.

FAQs

Can I fit a 40cm wine fridge under a kitchen worktop?

Only if the model is designed for undercounter use with front ventilation. Most 40cm to 50cm models are freestanding and will overheat if boxed into a cabinet.

How many bottles does a 40cm wine fridge hold?

Typically 12 to 40 bottles depending on height. Taller freestanding models hold more.
